Jack, who has taught science, math, and outdoor education in many settings, specializes in natural building techniques, and teaches sustainability skills to students of all ages. With his wife and their daughter, he leads a fun-filled life off the grid on a skimpy carbon budget.
Tyler Norrishosts The High Desert Center’s
permaculture and green building projects on his 60-acre ranch in Paonia, and
serves as an advisor to the center. During more than 20 years of work with
governments and nonprofits groups, Tyler has nurtured many groundbreaking
efforts to improve the health of people and places, including community health
partnerships in the United States, an international trail system in the Middle
East, and a national park network in Tajikistan
